The idea of him surviving in any way was already ridiculous, to begin with, but I was willing to let it pass because Michael’s history of surviving shit is already stupid. Laurie’s no longer wearing the shirt over her Sookyball Sunset Tomb Ghost Halloween Shirt tank top (though she might have taken it off to use as a bandage) and her hair/wig looks a bit longer. But it does bug me when in a lot of these movies the villain is unkillable for no reason, takes me outta the movie. Like a Terminator I get, but as for as I know Michael is still just a guy. In the 2018 movie, he didn’t REALLY take any wounds that would be definitely fatal. He was shot in the shoulder, fingers, and grazed across the face, and then had his arm and hand slashed with a knife, and he’s canonically insensitive to pain. If they can decently explain how he got out of the basement alive, it doesn’t suspend disbelief.
