I enjoyed the podcasters and was (pleasantly) shocked at their brutal confrontation with Michael. Laurie’s PTSD was handled very well, considering what she went through. Now I’m especially curious how they’re going to handle Michael’s survival because that whole motherfuckin’ house was ablaze, plus he was locked inside a reinforced, cage-like basement. There are only so many firefighters can do.I’m hoping the next one doesn’t lean on comedy and doing the same stuff as the first film.

My wild guess is that his escape is going Official Horror Character Halloween Shirt involve some serious bullshit, like a retcon of how big the fire was, or having Michael find a silly flaw in the trap he uses to escape before the firefighters even get there. Great teaser. Still never really been on board with them retconning everything just to name it Halloween. I know it’s a new trilogy but it’s also a sequel. It is what it is. I didn’t like the last one honestly, but I’m gonna see the new ones because the original Halloween is my favorite movie.
