This is a very comfortable article of clothing. I got it large so that I could wear it layered over other warm gear. The slippery quilted lining makes it easy to put on over any other type of clothing without binding. The breast pocket is deep enough to hold my cell phone and button shut so I don’t lose it. I put my phone on one side and car keys in the other when working outside. The side pockets are big enough to put my hands into to warm up. The buttons are easy to do up with arthritic fingers. The quilting is evenly done, so I don’t get any cold spots from too thin of lining. The outside material is soft and I think quite pretty. The only reason that I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is the hood. It is very thin, and the way it is designed, if I try to pull the string tight, it keeps falling forward over my eyes, and I can’t see. I am going to sew a thicker piece of fleece in to it, and take the back in a little bit, then I think it will work perfectly. If you don’t use hoods, this shirt would be a 5 for you.

Id never wear this as a “shirt”.. but as a light spring/fall jacket i would. Its got a quilted material liner, and the material is decently thick. Its heavier then a shirt, but lighter then a jacket.. It also fits slightly large, maybe by an inch more then i expected, but thats okay if wearing a shirt under it.

I ordered this lined flannel jacket with hoodie is the “Total Eclipse With Heather Gray Hood” color and size large, as gift for my husband to keep him warm during the cold months ahead. He’s 5’10, 175 pounds and likes to buy alot of flannel lined shirts in XL to wear like a jacket, which is cool for the need to layer clothes perspective, but I felt this jacket would achieve the extra warmth way better, without the extra bulk and darker color will match nearly all his casual wear, too. Fiance loved it, I got it for him to throw on for running around or working outside, etc so a nice coat doesn’t get ruined. He runs warm usually but it gets nippy enough to need just a little something so this was the perfect layer for keeping the chill off. Sizing is true, he’s normally a XL and that’s what I ordered, fit perfectly.

I ordered the XXL and found it runs quite a bit large. I’m one of those “lucky” people that have always been in between on sizes. Every thing i order has always been XXL but i’m reordering this in XL do to it being just too large and sleeves go past my knuckles. Otherwise i’m expecting a good experience since it’s Wrangler. Replacing two Dickies brand flannels that have not held up for the low amount of usage on them.

Quality is great. Inner lining is great. Color is great (I got blue).
It fits a little large on me. Some reviews said it fit a bit small. (Especially on the other Wrangler one like this with no hood)… I was worried I was going to have to get an XL. I got a large and it’s a bit huge on me. No worries because I’m currently bulking up. (I’m 6ft tall and 210lbs) However, it makes me wonder how much shrinking I can expect from washing it. Normally I’m about 170 lbs and probably would’ve still taken a chance on Large… but apparently I would’ve been swimming in it. Even as it stands, it makes me look like I’m almost 300lbs because it’s quite big.
I also wondered (based on another review) if the color would be faded… but the blue is nice and vibrant.
It’s a LOT more like a jacket than a regular hoodie. Partly due to the sort of quilted inner lining, partly due to how big and warm and cozy it is I guess. If it’s around 0 degrees I can get away with just this plus t-shirt under, no REAL winter jacket/coat.
Like some other options out there, the design for this one could’ve probably benefited from an inner zipper and then the buttons… and of course some dudes would prefer snaps instead of buttons.
Lady loves it. I’m impressed with it. It’s warm. Pockets are useful.
