I can’t attempt to Official Grateful Dead 55th Anniversary 1965 2020 Signed Thank Memories Shirt food safety, but there was a whole lot of microbiology happening at your average Dead show. In 98, I wore a skirt to the 3 Texas shows that summer. I got hit on by so many dudes in lines at random stops between shows. Their confusion seeing my beard when I turned around was priceless every time! If you can escape normal life and just enjoy the music, it is a zen kind of thing. That in itself is a drug. I call it escapism and it really is a pinnacle of self-reflection. Yeah, I honestly don’t think many of the older folks dancing like this are on drugs. Sure back in the day they absolutely were. But now it’s just kind of reliving that memory.
Official Grateful Dead 55th Anniversary 1965 2020 Signed Thank Memories Shirt, Tank Top, V-neck, Ladies Tee For Men And Women
I was at Dead and co at the Official Grateful Dead 55th Anniversary 1965 2020 Signed Thank Memories Shirt start of this tour and I was talking to this guy that was dancing like that during the set break. He only smoked a joint and had a beer. Dancing like that is so much fun and not embarrassing at all at a Dead show or most jam bands in general. I just saw Phish in Charlotte last weekend, completely sober. I enjoyed it & danced more than I ever did on drugs. Unbelievable experience. Been a deadhead since birth and had the pleasure of seeing them for the 4th year in a row a few weeks ago at Wrigley. Next year I’m 100% doing there annual Mexico “playing in the sand” shows. I saw them a couple of years ago with my parents and husband and had such a great time. Lots of dance moves, but so fun to watch.
Official Grateful Dead 55th Anniversary 1965 2020 Signed Thank Memories Sweatshirt, Hoodie
In my experience… Kinda. Everything feels so free and flowing and that makes twirling as close as you can get to, I’m not sure how to explain it, the Official Grateful Dead 55th Anniversary 1965 2020 Signed Thank Memories Shirt feeling you get those few seconds of weightlessness while swinging high. You really do. I spent years going to alt-rock and grunge shows, loved what I heard, but the audience was usually dude-heavy and everyone kinda had that same “arms crossed, head-nodding” pose. I start going to Dead shows, and people are dancing wildly, some on drugs and some perfectly sober, people are just losing their shit and not giving a damn who sees it. Some people just really love the dead.
