The melodies do sound eerily similar, but I’m not sure if that’s enough, given the fact that they’re both written around the same chords with a similar quality in mind. But we’ll see I suppose. It’s not really as cut and dry as the Coldplay vs Joe Satriani thing, which used very distinct chord directions and melodies. I’m interested to see how it all ends up.
