My gal, my mom hated faces in a Good Ronald Reagan George Bush 1980 Shirt. She carved flowers. Think of folk art style. By the time I was a teen she got really good at candles too. She also painted them with glow in the dark colors and used glow sticks. A crazy mother who has little to no clue about the cultural context of Halloween, much less the holidays she practices, that is just so damn rude. My mother had a nasty habit of throwing away the things that she found remotely objectionable. One time she threw away a pair of antique ostrich leather boots that were in love with.
