However, for the most part, even the criminals don’t really have a problem with us. I’ve talked repeat offenders into cuffs when they have a warrant and they have looked at me and said: “I’m not upset with you, I know you’re just doing your job”. So yeah, there are definitely bad apples within our line of work; there’s no doubt about that but, it’s not true everywhere. From my experience, if you’re cool with them and not an ass, they’ll be cool with you. As I said before, there are definitely pieces of shit cops that don’t deserve their badge but, we’re not all bad and it’s sad to say that those few bad apples make it harder on the ones who are just trying to do good.

When I respect the people I get out with on a call or a traffic stop, or whatever; they respect me. Kind of goes back to the golden rule: treat others the way you want to be treated. If I don’t know you, why would I treat you like less than human? Shit… wish I could. That’s why Good Forget Lab Safety I Want Super Powers Shirt my pay grade. Thankfully, I haven’t seen anything or dealt with any bad apples yet. There have been instances with my supervisors that I refused to support and refused to take orders based on the fourth amendment. I’m sure there are officers who report bad shit happening but it never goes anywhere. But, I don’t have firsthand experience with shady officers yet, so I can’t really say much about that process. Police in the US nowadays is in a much better place than they ever been historical, less racism, fewer sexual assaults/abuses of people in their control, less corruption, less involvement with various types of crime.
