I am really sorry you had to go through that. I absolutely can relate to not knowing how to receive and give love. The concept is just still too foreign to me. I had no idea why many of my relationships didn’t last long, and now I think I understand what I need to work upon. We are made to the Funny Love Veteran My Marine Shirt feel like we deserved to be punished. But this, I now realize, is nonsense. A child isn’t born hating themselves, they are taught to think that way. I still have a long way to go, but no matter what it takes, I am determined to end the cycle of abuse.
