Human junk food is pretty bad for them, so I started feeding them real squirrel food (pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts). The squirrels on my college campus (years ago) got Fritos, pizza, etc. But one day I handed one a blueberry from my lunch. Yeah, city squirrels don’t seem to fuck shit up like that, at least not that I’ve ever heard. Maybe country squirrels do it more or it happens but not that often? You really don’t need to feed squirrels.
