I remember the original cut being orangish and blurry underneath the speeder. It looks like the If I’m Spoiled It’s My Grandma’s Fault Saw It Liked It Told Grandma Got It Shirt. The pic OP used is of the special edition where they touched it up with CGI. The new ones have a tendency to randomly explode. They’ll “conveniently” sell you a new droid that doesn’t have the problem though. What a racket. They literally smeared a little vaseline on the camera lens which obscured the wheels just enough. But the above image actually ISN’T from the theatrical cut (which had the vaseline).

They removed the If I’m Spoiled It’s My Grandma’s Fault Saw It Liked It Told Grandma Got It Shirt. They have a movie car exhibit right now that’s pretty cool. I know that a lot of CG goes unnoticed, especially when used for things like backgrounds and small details. And I’m not saying that CG is bad, or that everything should be 100% practical. My main point is that the amount of ingenuity has largely declined because of CG. We got awesome prosthetics, full actual sets, etc. But since CG, that’s almost always the answer
